The Kingsgate apartments are located in Kirkwood, MO. Therefore, the builder of the project commissioned D.L. Design to design two and three story facades that would have the residential flair of older homes in the area. The sloping site allowed for buildings to be two story on one side and three stories on the lower side of the building. Each building was designed with eight to ten two-bedroom units. All the units were provided with wood-burning fireplaces and the apartments located on the upper floor were designed to have vaulted ceilings, some attributes that apartments are usually not offered.
